Emphasizing the “one vendor for all services” benefit, USS will maximize both experience and knowledge to provide a superior, customized service program. Our services are based on quality, dependability and sustainability while providing a revenue stream for university housing departments.

Sustainable Water Service
This service includes a ENERGY STAR® cooling unit and either pick up or delivery of 3-5 gallon jugs. Monthly water schedule is provided, water is delivered directly to the student’s door or available for pick up on campus.
- Benefit to University: Successful sustainability program for the campus! You can eliminate up to 1,000 plastic water bottles per student/per year. A terrific revenue generator.
- Compensation: 10% of the top line revenue; you could earn $5,000 with just 200 participating students
- Benefit to student: Cost of water drops to just $.35 per 16oz, living a healthy lifestyle, creating sustainable habits, and convenient delivery
- Cost to student: $269/semester
MicroFridge® Rental Service
USS will provide a MicroFridge® rental or purchase program for the entire campus. The MicroFridge® refrigerator/freezer/microwave combination ENERGY STAR® unit will meet all your size, safety and electrical requirements. USS will ship and deliver all ordered rental units, install in participating rooms, and ensure that every unit is operating properly.
- Benefit to University: Provide an amenity for on campus population, helps control energy consumption, and a terrific revenue generator.
- Compensation: 10% of the revenue; ASU earned $15,000 last year
- Benefit to student: Great microwave and refrigerator, rental eliminates the need for transportation and storage
- Cost to student: $269 per academic year
Summer Storage
Students simply pack up with belongings and schedule a pick-up. USS will store in climate-controlled facility and then return to the student’s new address in the fall. We are the only authorized storage company on campus and exclusively offer free in-room pick-up and delivery.
- Benefit to University: Great amenity, eases the move-out congestion and generates revenue.
- Compensation: 10% of the top line revenue; Northwestern earned $24,000 last year.
- Benefit to student: They don’t have to drag their stuff home, just to bring it back
- Cost to student: $65 per box (up to 50lbs), other item prices vary; average cost is $300/student

Laundry Service
Students get their laundry washed on a weekly basis, no sorting needed. We will pick-up, wash, dry, fold and return just 3 days later.
- Benefit to University: Provides amenity to on-campus students and a terrific revenue generator
- Compensation: 10% of the top line revenue; ASU earned $4,000 last year
- Benefit to student: Always clean clothes. Don’t need to take the time to wash
- Cost to student: $349 per semester
Housekeeping Service
Professional maid service to thoroughly clean and disinfect the bathroom every-other week. The basic service includes bathroom only but other service are available upon request (bedrooms, kitchens, apartments, houses). Housekeepers are bonded and have extensive background checks.
- Benefit to University: Great amenity for students and parents, helps to keep the bathroom in better shape throughout the school year, and a terrific revenue generator
- Compensation: 10% of the top line revenue; ASU earned $2,700 last year
- Benefit to student: Healthy living environment, parents love the peace of mind
- Cost to student: $349 per semester
Ship-To-Your-Room Service
Unique service made available to incoming residents. Students can pre-ship their belongings to the USS warehouse where it will be stored and placed into the room prior to their arrival on campus. This service eliminates some pressure on the hall mailroom.
- Benefit to University: Some universities use it as a move-in strategy by eliminating boxes from the move-in process; less boxes on campus means faster elevators. A terrific revenue generator.
- Compensation: 10% of the top line revenue; Northwestern earned $2,200 last year
- Benefit to student: Eliminates the high cost of airline baggage and reduces the stress of move-in day because their belongings are in their room when they arrive
- Cost to student: $49 per item (up to 50lbs, not including shipping)
- Northwestern: 376 boxes shipped
- University of Arizona: 302 boxes shipped
"No Touch" Services

BunkTrunk™
Introducing a new secure storage space for your bed. The unit easily fits above any bed and can be used as a nightstand and workspace and features a digital lock. Students get to keep the unit and the legs are removable for flexible future use.
- Benefit to University: Creative product for secure storage and a terrific revenue generator
- Compensation: 10% of the top line revenue; ASU earned $2,000 last year
- Benefit to student: New way to organize, charge and secure their belongings
- Cost to student: $249 purchase price, including shipping
NSSI: Student Property Insurance
USS has teamed up with National Student Services, Inc (NSSI) to offer a personal property insurance program exclusively designed for college students. All items student bring to campus are covered under one policy. The policy covers theft, drops, cracked screens and liquid damage.
- Benefit to University: Offer protection to student’s belongings
- Compensation: 5% of the top line revenue
- Benefit to student: Cover all items you bring to campus from accidental damage and theft
- Cost to student: $66 per year
Care Packages
USS has teamed up with Bunny James Boxes to offer a variety of care package subscriptions designed for college students. Care packages include a variety of healthy and delicious snacks to celebrate holidays, birthdays and finals. Gluten-free, nut-free and vegan options are available.
- Benefit to University: Offer parents an option to send to their student’s while they are away
- Compensation: 10% of the top line revenue, Tulane earned $593 in it’s first year
- Benefit to student: Fun surprise boxes from family
- Cost to student: Individual boxes start at $29.50, 5 boxes for $132.75
Additional Information
USS keeps it very simple, we contract to become the exclusive provider on your selected service(s). In turn you agree promote service(s) including, but not limited to:
- List us on your housing website
- Provide mailing addresses for one mailer to the students home address (process can be slightly altered)
- Provide email addresses for student and parent for one email leading up to service, or agree to send USS provided email
- Make posts about USS services on your social media channels (USS can provide artwork)
- Include services in Move-in/Move-out communications
- Advertise services on an local advertising (in-hall monitors)
- Include services on regular newsletters to parents and/or students
- [Optional] Add services to the housing contract as an “opt-out”
