From Home-To-Room Service

Make move-in simple! Don’t travel with your items, ship them from your home to us instead! This service is available to any student who will be living in the residence hall. You ship boxes within the shipping window, to our climate-controlled warehouse near campus. We will store it, transport it to campus and then place it in your room where it will be waiting for you upon arrival.

The optional $19.95 insurance coverage is designed to protect against any damages caused by USS personnel. Please note that this coverage does not extend to any potential damages incurred during transit to our facility.

This service is excluded from the “Save $20 prior to August 1st” promotion.

The $55.00 fee is per box and DOES NOT include the shipping cost. Please contact your shipping carrier to review shipping rates.

University of Arizona ordering will close Sunday, August 4th.

Loyola University Chicago ordering will close Monday, August 5th.

Norteastern University Chicago ordering will close Monday, August 12th.

Step 1:
The quantity you select at checkout above is how many boxes you plan on shipping. If you do not know, just select “1” and review step 3. Your personal items should be placed in a box, duffel bag, or suitcase. Every item you ship must weigh no more than 50lbs. Each overweight package is subject to a $75 overweight fee + the $55.00 fee.

→ We do not provide shipping boxes or shipping labels
→ You can create your shipping labels online through Fed-ex, UPS or USPS (or in person in their store).
→ Recommended sizing is 18x18x18 and to use heavy duty double layered!
→ USS is not responsible for any damage due to packing and shipping. You can add insurance to your packages through the selected carrier

Step 2:
Put a shipping label and the USS customer identification label on each item you are shipping. The USS customer identification label will be emailed to you on the release date (view University specified dates below).

→ The address you ship your items to can be found on your USS customer identification label. 
→ You WILL NOT receive the USS customer identification label if you do not provide housing details to USS. 
US POSTAL SERVICE IS NOT RECOMMENDED IN CHICAGO, IL.
→ Remember, you can ship it to us up to 2 weeks in advance to ensure we get it on time for placement into the room. We must have all packages by the deadline!

Step 3:
Are your items packed? Do you have your shipping label and USS customer identification label on them? Great! Time to ship your items! All items must be to our facility by the deadline date.

→ We do not allow packages to be dropped off by students or parents.
→ We will charge or refund according to the total number of boxes you send. Ex: If you register for 2 boxes and we receive 5, you will be charged for the additional 3 automatically after we receive them.
Late packages will be rejected and returned to sender. No exceptions.

Step 4:
Your items will be delivered to your residence hall by USS. These items should arrive before your arrival or assigned move-in time.

→ Orders with incomplete housing information are not guaranteed to be in the room prior to move-in.

RESTRICTIONS

– Off Campus housing is NOT eligible for this service! No exceptions.
– Boxes from 3rd party vendors such as, Target, Bed Bath & Beyond, Walmart, Amazon, etc. will not be accepted! *The reason being is boxes MUST have our USS customer identification labels. Large companies such as these will not put our labels on the boxes being shipped.
